Nestled where the St. Joseph River meets the Cedarville Reservoir in Northeast Allen County, The Cedars Retirement Community – The Cedars — has provided a peaceful country place to come home to since 1993. Maybe you are looking for a quiet villa in the country where you can spend your retirement years. Maybe you want something a bit smaller — a condominium, perhaps. Maybe you have decided to “downsize” into an apartment in an independent-living community. Maybe you need a little bit more support, and you want an apartment in an assisted-living community. Maybe you need short-term rehabilitation services so that you can return home safely after a health crisis. Or maybe you or a loved one needs long-term care. Whatever the need, The Cedars offers options for seniors at almost all levels of mobility and health. Located just north of Fort Wayne, the Allen County seat, The Cedars’ beautiful lakefront setting and expertly manicured grounds provide the perfect place to call home in your or your loved one’s retirement years.

Services
Social Services
The staff of The Cedars provides Social Services. Many times there are questions or concerns that a resident or family member may have. A social service staff member is available to residents and can assist with personal, social, and financial matters.
Beauty and Barber Care
Hair care at The Cedars involves more than just hygiene. We recognize that residents enjoy looking their best. We have provided a beauty/barber shop, which provides the services of a licensed professional. Routine hair care for both men and women is provided on a regular basis. These services will be billed through the facility financial services.
Volunteer Services
Volunteers offer services of love which have totaled hundreds of hours annually. Volunteers give their time daily providing transportation, acting as receptionists, hostesses, organists, and other services too numerous to mention.
Dining Services
Because a balanced diet is conducive to continued good health, all menus are reviewed by a registered dietitian and prepared in the kitchen at The Cedars. All residents of The Cedars Retirement Complex are welcome to enjoy the scrumptious foods prepared by the cooks in our kitchen. Some residents will be given a limited selection of foods to choose from for each meal. Special diets are prepared as prescribed by the physician. If advance reservations are made, a resident may have guest join him/her for meals.
Pastoral Services
The Cedars encourages the resident’s pastor to be involved in the activities of The Cedars. The facility will do everything possible to schedule Bible studies and services to meet the spiritual needs of our residents.
Health and Medical Services
All medical services offered at The Cedars are under the supervision of the resident’s physician and are carried out by our professional nursing staff. Each resident may choose to retain the services of his/her own personal physician if the physician is available to make calls at the facility. Should the resident not be able to obtain the services of a physician willing to come to the facility, the facility Medical Director will agree to oversee the care of the new resident.
Pharmacy Services
Pharmacy services at The Cedars are provided by Long Term Care Pharmacy. The pharmacy provides the residents of the facility with a pharmacist who oversees the drug regimen prescribed by the physicians practicing at the facility. They also provide the staff and residents with information regarding their medical treatment. Long Term Care Pharmacy delivers the medications right to the facility in a uniform delivery system.
